I'm staying strong......

Last week I decided enough was enough and Mikey and Bre had to go, to their own bed that is. We have been co-sleeping for 5 years and they are just too big already. So the first day was hard for them, I heard "MOMMY" every 3 hours. The second day it was a little better. Last night they did great!!! After a couple of sprays of the "Monster Spray" (Bath & Body Works aromatherapy Lavender vanilla spray) I told them I would stay in there for 5 minutes and they both fell asleep within that time. I only got called in there one time last night. It's getting easier on all of us. I wake up in a better mood because I am not pulling body parts out of me. It's been a great 5 years but it was time for them to make the move. They have a had NEW twin beds in their room forever, and they were only used for an occasional nap. They do sleep together and I will let them do that until they are ready to sleep apart. I am so proud of them, last night Mikey asked why they had to sleep in their own bed. He said it makes him sad that he can't sleep with us. I told him it was just a growing pain and he would feel different in a couple of weeks. Let's just hope I'm right or he will never let me forget it.
